Overview

TITAN Greece has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable and Cost Accountant at our Head Office in Athens. This position reports to the Financial and Cost Accounting Supervisor. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure timely and accurate accounts payable processing, while contributing to month-end close and other cost accounting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Review posted invoices and release them for payment in accordance with internal policies and procedures and the Greek tax regulations.
  • Coordinate and execute the self-invoicing program.
  • Identify vendors invoices from e-book databases and coordinate their posting.
  • Contribute to broader accounting activities, including accounts payable entries, provisions, accruals, and other period-end adjustments.
  • Perform periodic account reconciliations and controls to ensure completeness and integrity of accounting records.
  • Compile, prepare, and submit data and reports to internal and external auditors and to government authorities.
  • Participate in the month-end costing process.
  • Participate in interdepartmental projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and procedures.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • A Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting, or an ACCA certification, will be considered an additional asset
  •  2-3 years of experience in a similar position in the financial sector of a large company (Industrial) or in an Audit or Consulting Services company
  • Good understanding of the Greek tax framework.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • Military service fulfilled (if applicable)
